Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking a Senior Site Engineer (Geologist) in Glasgow to lead geotechnical ground investigations on site. You will supervise field teams, log rock and soil samples, and perform field tests and surveying while ensuring HSEQ compliance.

The role requires a geology or earth sciences degree and 2–3 years of site investigation experience in a contracting environment, with strong communication and organisational skills. A UK driving license and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in geology or earth sciences is required.
• 2–3 years of site investigation contracting experience in geotechnical environments.
• Contractor background with hands-on field experience preferred.
• Good communication and organisational skills; able to mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage field teams on small to medium geotechnical ground investigations.
• Log rock and soil samples from boreholes and trial pits; perform field testing and surveying.
• Ensure technical, commercial, and HSEQ compliance on sites; mentor junior engineers.
