Job summary

Fusion People Ltd is seeking a Senior Site Engineer (Geologist) in Glasgow to lead geotechnical ground investigations on site. You will supervise field teams, log rock and soil samples, and perform field tests and surveying while ensuring HSEQ compliance.

You will be supervising and managing teams on small to medium sized geotechnical ground investigation projects on site, ensuring compliance in a technical, commercial, and HSEQ sense. You will also be responsible for logging rock and soil samples (such as boreholes and trial pits) and carrying out field testing and surveying, among other requirements. The successful candidate must be qualified to degree level in a related field (such as Geology or Earth Sciences) and a minimum of 2-3 years site investigation contracting experience. The client is seeking an individual with a contractor background, including hands-on field experience, who is also comfortable mentoring and supporting junior engineers. You must also hold strong communication and organisational skills, be proficient with MS office and have a full UK driving license, as the role will require travel to various sites.
