Job summary

Arcadis UK is offering a paid internship and 12-month placement in geotechnical engineering. The programme provides hands-on exposure to real projects and clients, with signposted training and personal/professional development throughout the placement.

You will work on geotechnical design, desk studies, site investigations, and use digital tools to model ground conditions, while gaining experience across rail, highways, water and energy sectors.

Qualifications

• You will be working towards a degree in a relevant subject
• You will demonstrate Arcadian skills including Resilience, Creativity, Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
• You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from home when required (where possible we embrace virtual working)

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivery of foundation, retaining wall, ground improvement and earthworks designs
• Undertake desk studies, specify and scoping intrusive ground investigations
• Produce interpretive reports and geotechnical designs and recommendations
• Our team use innovative digital tools for producing accurate ground models and for analysis of geotechnical problems and design development
