Job summary

Haskoning in the UK is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Maritime Geotechnical Team. Based in Liverpool, you will work on international projects, delivering geotechnical analysis, design, and ground investigations.

You will develop data-management systems, collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues, and contribute to sustainable port and maritime infrastructure projects. A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and experience in geotechnical design are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred) in geotechnical field.
• Practical geotechnical design experience.
• Experience in supervising ground investigations.
• Proficient in geotechnical design software (Slope/W, Plaxis 3D).
• Experience in geotechnical consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geotechnical analysis and design, including FE analysis where relevant.
• Develop and use systems to manage geotechnical data, including OpenGround.
• Carry out site visits and desk studies, and design, procure, supervise and interpret ground investigations.
• Write reports and specifications, and prepare drawings as required.
• Liaise with clients to provide geotechnical support and advice.
• Organise and direct junior staff or technicians on project work and manage projects.
• Develop and extend technical capabilities of the Geotechnical team and publish findings.
