Job summary

Haskoning is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Maritime UK Advisory Group. You'll work on geotechnical analysis and ground investigations across challenging international ports and projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in UK offices including London, Peterborough, Liverpool and Newcastle.

Qualifications

• Bachelors essential and Masters desirable in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Practical geotechnical design experience.
• Preparation and supervision of ground investigations.
• Proficient in geotechnical design software (Slope/W, Plaxis incl 3D Plaxis).
• Experience of geotechnical consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geotechnical analysis and design, including FE analysis where relevant.
• Develop and run geotechnical data management systems (OpenGround).
• Carry out site visits and desk studies; design, procure, supervise and interpret ground investigations.
• Write reports and specifications, and prepare drawings.
• Liaise with clients for geotechnical support.
• Organise and direct junior staff or technicians on project work; manage projects technically and financially.
• Develop and extend the technical capabilities of the Geotechnical team and digital tooling.
