Job summary

Our client in Southampton is seeking a Senior or Engineer level Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer to join a collaborative mid-sized consultancy. The role mixes site and office work with clear career progression.

The ideal candidate has 2–7 years' experience, strong technical capability, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. On offer are salary £30,000–£45,000, plus benefits and professional development support.

Qualifications

• 2–7 years relevant industry background.
• Degree (2:1 or above) in geology, environmental science, geotechnical/civil engineering, physical geography, etc.
• Full UK driving licence (manual).
• Postgraduate degree or Chartered Status are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead ground investigations and manage schemes with junior staff.
• Produce project fee proposals and tenders.
• Develop client relationships and manage project finances.
