Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related subject.
- Experience in geotechnical consultancy or ground engineering environment.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles and UK ground conditions.
- Experience with geotechnical calculations and design software would be beneficial.
- Strong report-writing and communication skills.
- Working towards or pursuing Chartered status.
Responsibilities
- Undertake geotechnical assessments and interpret ground investigation data.
- Produce factual and interpretative geotechnical reports.
- Carry out slope stability, bearing capacity and settlement assessments.
- Assist with foundation, retaining wall and earthworks design.
- Review ground investigation information and develop ground models.
- Support site investigations and liaise with contractors and clients.
- Work alongside engineers across wider civil and infrastructure projects.
