Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join their South Manchester team on a hybrid basis. The role involves working across commercial, industrial, residential and infrastructure projects with site visits UK-wide.

You'll review ground investigations, design site surveys, produce interpretative reports, supervise earthworks and contribute to ground improvement and geo-environmental work while collaborating with civil and structural engineers.

Qualifications

Solid grounding in geotechnical principles and consultancy experience.
Experience with ground investigations and site investigations.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Rocscience or Oasys is a plus.

Responsibilities

Review ground investigation and geotechnical information.
Design and specify site investigations.
Produce geotechnical interpretative reports and specifications.
Provide technical advice to project teams.
Supervise large-scale earthworks.
Carry out assessments relating to foundations, earthworks, slope stability and settlement.
Work on ground improvement, mineral workings and natural cavities.
Exposure to geo-environmental work and remediation recommendations.
