Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is seeking an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer to join its South Manchester Geo team. The role blends office work, UK-wide site visits and hybrid working, supporting a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, residential, healthcare and infrastructure.

You will contribute to ground investigation, interpretation, and geotechnical reporting, with exposure to ground risk assessments and remediation planning.

Qualifications

• Solid grounding in geotechnical principles and consultancy experience.
• Experience with ground investigation and interpretation.
• Experience with geo-environmental work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing existing ground investigation and geotechnical information.
• Designing and specifying site investigations.
• Producing geotechnical interpretative reports and specifications.
• Providing technical advice to project teams.
• Supervising large-scale earthworks projects.
• Carrying out assessments relating to foundations, earthworks, slope stability and settlement.
• Working on ground improvement, mineral workings and natural cavity-related projects.
