Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer in Cambridge to join an expanding geotechnical and geo-environmental consultancy. You will oversee site investigations, write factual and interpretive reports, and participate in borehole logging, soil/rock sampling, and groundwater monitoring on varied projects.

The role offers a top salary (£32,000 - £40,000), support to chartership, an enhanced pension, and focussed training. This is a permanent position based in Cambridge.

Qualifications

• Degree in geotechnical engineering, geoscience or geology (or a similar/relevant subject).
• Experience in the geoenvironmental and/or geotechnical engineering industry.
• Exceptional communication skills, ideally with experience leading a team and/or supervising junior members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee site investigations and liaise with clients.
• Write factual and interpretive reports; borehole logging and sampling.
• Conduct groundwater and gas monitoring; support junior team members' development.
