Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Graduate Geotechnical Design Engineer in York to join a specialist geotechnical consultancy. You will learn to develop ground models and design structures like retaining walls, foundations, piles, and reinforced soil slopes on UK residential and commercial projects.

You will gain experience in ground movement assessments and collaborate with a supportive team while benefiting from training, pension, private healthcare, and chartership support.

Qualifications

Degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering (geotech focus) or similar (MSc preferred).
Full and clean UK Driving Licence.
Be commutable to York and have right to work in the UK.
Experience in Geotechnical Engineering and soil mechanics; knowledge of software is preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Develop ground models and design structures including retaining walls, foundations, piles and reinforced soil slopes on residential and commercial projects.
Conduct ground movement assessments and support the wider team.
