Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join our Durham-based team. The role covers Phase 1 desktop studies, Phase 2 site investigations, report writing, client liaison and borehole logging.

You will have the opportunity to progress towards chartership with support from the firm, and enjoy a competitive salary (£32,000 - £38,000), pension, benefits and a range of projects across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in geology, engineering geology, civil engineering, geoscience or similar.
• Ideally geo-environmental/geotechnical engineer with report writing and site proficiency.
• Clean and valid UK driving licence.
• Commutable to Durham.
• A full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Phase 1 desktop studies.
• Phase 2 site investigations.
• Factual and interpretive report writing.
• Client liaison, borehole logging, groundwater and gas monitoring, and soil logging.
