Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join the team delivering the Geotechnical Construction Phase Support (CPS) on the HS2 route. You will work with designers and contract partners, reviewing ITPs, witnessing client testing, and supporting on-site inspections to ensure design verification and auditable records.

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical design and site investigations.
• Ability to review ITPs and support QA processes.
• Proven capability to interpret monitoring data and provide technical input.

Responsibilities

• Support Geotechnical CPS on HS2 with on-site and office tasks.
• Review ITPs and witness client testing for design verification.
• Attend I&M meetings and contribute to data interpretation.
• Prepare Geotechnical Feedback Reports and support junior staff.
• Provide design mitigation and respond to NCRs as needed.
• Maintain auditable site observation reports and construction records.
