Lucion is seeking a proactive Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our Bristol team, focusing on land contamination assessments, environmental risk management and delivering practical, sustainable solutions on development projects.

You will conduct Phase I/II site investigations, prepare high-quality technical reports, engage with clients and regulators, and support project delivery with a solutions-focused approach.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in geo-environmental consultancy or contaminated land assessment.
• Strong technical report writing skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; client and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (desk studies and fieldwork).
• Assess soil and groundwater contamination and perform risk assessments.
• Prepare high-quality technical reports including remediation strategies.
• Deliver projects safely, on time and within budget, with senior teams.
• Engage with clients, contractors and regulators to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to innovative solutions for land contamination and environmental challenges.

We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Geo-Environmental Consultant to join our growing team in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of development and regeneration projects, helping clients identify environmental risks and deliver practical, sustainable solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Geo-Environmental Consultant, you’ll play a key role in assessing and managing land contamination and environmental risks. Your responsibilities will include:

• Environmental Site Assessments – Conduct Phase I and Phase II assessments, including desk studies and ground investigations.
• Contamination Assessment – Assess soil and groundwater contamination, identify pollutant linkages and undertake environmental risk assessments.
• Technical Reporting – Prepare high-quality technical reports, including contamination assessments, remediation strategies and supporting documentation.
• Project Delivery – Work alongside senior consultants and project managers to deliver projects safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.
• Client & Stakeholder Engagement – Liaise with clients, contractors and regulatory authorities to ensure projects meet environmental regulations and industry best practice.
• Innovative Thinking – Help develop practical and innovative solutions to land contamination and wider environmental challenges.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical knowledge with a practical, solutions-focused approach.

You’ll Ideally Have

• A degree in Environmental Science, Geology or a related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience in geo-environmental consultancy or contaminated land assessment.
• Good knowledge of UK environmental regulations and contaminated land guidance.
• Experience with site investigation techniques, environmental sampling and data interpretation.
• Strong technical report writing skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with clients, colleagues and project stakeholders.
• A full UK driving licence.
