We are looking for professionals who want to contribute their geotechnical design and expertise to our growing Ground Engineering department in London, aiming towards a sustainable future.

Your new role

You will be part of the UK Ground Engineering team, working on a variety of exciting UK and international projects that support your development. Your work will focus on designing complex urban structures, with opportunities to engage in rail projects, major infrastructure and highway schemes, crossings, renewables, and complex soil/structure numerical modelling.

Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Delivering geotechnical services to multidisciplinary teams across various divisions, including Buildings, Transport, Environment, and Energy.
2. Engaging with clients and project managers, facilitating project deliverables within internal and external design teams.
3. Innovating and developing design systems in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams nationally and internationally.
4. Contributing to Ramboll’s net-zero carbon design principles, creating sustainable schemes that benefit communities.
5. Executing complex geotechnical aspects of multidisciplinary projects using industry-standard software; familiarity with geotechnical software is essential.
6. Promoting the Ramboll brand and supporting business development.
7. Applying policies related to health and safety, quality, and team development.

About you

• Proven experience in geotechnical design, analysis, reporting, and numerical modelling in relevant sectors.
• BEng/MEng (Hons) Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional and confident communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Capability to work independently and lead design activities.
• Ambition towards professional qualification (Chartered Civil Engineer MICE CEng or Engineering Geologist CGeol) and progress towards chartership.
