Job Description:

A very exciting Principal / Associate Engineer opportunity has arisen to work with my client based in their Tunnelling and Geotechnical team in Leeds, Dublin, or London.

My client has been supporting public, private, and institutional clients for more than 50 years, developing projects in transport, water, building, renewable energy, and rural development from concept to commissioning and operation.

Each team member specializes in tunnelling or geotechnics, but work is interchangeable between these categories. The projects are varied to meet different needs and aspirations.

You will:

1. Have around 8-15 years of experience, indicating seniority.
2. Be a Chartered Engineer.
3. Be based in Leeds, Dublin, or London.
4. Experience as a geotechnical discipline lead or team lead for small to medium projects (3-6 people).
5. Ability to identify objectives, direct team members, and motivate them to achieve goals.
6. Preferred technical skills/experience include:
1. Piles in Chalk and Glacial Till.
2. Offshore design, preferably windfarm and port.
3. Foundation design.
4. Linear transportation sector experience (railway, highway).
5. Embankments and cuttings.
6. Ground treatment/improvement.
7. Additional skills such as crossover between engineering geology and geotechnical engineering, geo-environment, or hydro-geology are considered bonuses but not essential.
