Job summary

Met GeoEnvironmental Ltd is seeking an experienced surveyor to join as Assistant Survey Manager, offering a path to leadership while staying hands-on. You’ll plan and deliver a varied programme of topographical, measured building, monitoring, laser scanning and setting-out work, from enquiry to final delivery.

You’ll develop in project management, commercial decision-making and client relationships, with opportunities to coach surveyors, manage budgets, and join the CICES development scheme.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in topographical, measured building surveying and laser scanning.
• Extensive software knowledge with experience of packages such as Cyclone, TruView, Recap, Undet / CloudWorx, CloudCompare, 3DR, Revit, Pix4D.
• Broad technical knowledge across surveying disciplines.
• Sharp eye for quality and detail.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
• Confidence dealing with clients, colleagues and suppliers.
• Practical, solutions-focused mindset.
• Understanding of project costs and commercial priorities.
• Good IT and communication skills, including Word and Excel.
• Advanced health and safety awareness.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Plan programmes and deliver a varied programme of topographical, measured building, monitoring, laser scanning and setting-out surveys.
• Involved from initial enquiry through fieldwork, QA and final delivery.
• Develop experience in project management, commercial decision-making, client relationships, QA and team development.
• Move from senior technical surveying into management with hands-on experience.
• Coach, mentor and support surveyors as they develop.
• Collaborate with land surveyors, measured building surveyors, utility surveyors, geophysicists and GIS specialists.
