Job summary

Met Consultancy Group is seeking a Geospatial Surveyor to lead fieldwork and output across varied topographical, engineering, and measured building surveys across the UK. You will work with GNSS, total stations, and laser scanning, delivering coordinated plans and sections while collaborating with GIS and geophysics teams.

You will progress through competence grades, with structured training, CPD support, and opportunities for more senior responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience in 2D and 3D topographical surveys across varied environments.
• Experience with laser scanning and point-cloud data processing.
• Proficiency in CAD software to produce detailed deliverables.
• Strong knowledge of surveying equipment: total stations, GNSS, spirit levels.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, collect, process and present accurate spatial data and outputs to standards.
• Interpret client requirements and survey specifications.
• Undertake 2D/3D topographical surveys using appropriate instruments.
• Produce coordinated floor plans, elevations and sections.
• Process data using LSS and prepare drawings in AutoCAD.
• Check data and deliverables to required standards and program.
• Maintain equipment and perform calibration checks.
• Communicate progress and issues clearly to team.
• Work safely following procedures and environmental rules.
