Job summary

The West of England Mayoral Combined Authority is seeking a Geospatial Officer to join the Digital & Data team in Bristol. You will help ensure data quality across diverse inputs and support cross‑organisational projects, applying GIS skills to real-world challenges.

You'll monitor GIS requests, curate and process datasets, and provide technical advice while collaborating with colleagues. A hybrid working model is offered with development opportunities and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience working with geospatial data and GIS workflows.
• Ability to interpret and curate geospatial datasets to support organisational needs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high data quality across inputs and outputs.
• Support teams and projects from across the organisation.
• Complete GIS and data work in a timely and professional manner.
• Provide technical expertise and problem solving for a range of challenges.
• Work as part of a team and independently when required.
• Daily tasks include monitoring GIS requests, populating data catalogues, and assisting with data governance.
