Job summary

Isometric is the AI-native certifier of climate solutions. We combine rigorous analysis with cloud-native tooling to unlock capital for projects that remove or reduce carbon.

We’re seeking doers with a bias to action who can develop code to quantify carbon outcomes in biosphere projects, support our commercial team with bespoke analyses, and turn bespoke solutions into reusable components.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in data analysis, geospatial data, and cloud-hosted tools such as BigQuery and Jupyter.
• Strong Python skills with data abstractions and pipeline management.
• Clear communication and ability to work with customers.

Responsibilities

• Develop code to quantify net carbon removal or reduction in biosphere projects, in line with Isometric protocols.
• Support Isometric’s commercial team with bespoke indicative analyses for potential project developers.
• Abstract bespoke solutions into reusable code components.
• Collaborate with the Data Science and Biosphere Science teams to review and adapt approaches.

Things you’ll do in this role:

• Work with project developers to develop code to quantify net carbon removal or reduction in biosphere projects going through Isometric’s validation & verification process, in line with Isometric protocols. This includes:

• Support Isometric’s commercial team in providing bespoke indicative analysis to inform potential project developers about their carbon sequestration potential.

• Abstract the bespoke solutions you develop for project developers into reusable code components.

• Collaborate with the Data Science and Biosphere Science teams at Isometric to review and adapt your approaches.

Things we’re looking for:

• Proficiency in data analysis, geospatial data and using cloud-hosted tools (e.g. BigQuery, Jupyter).

• Strong Python skills, with experience in data abstractions, pipeline management and integrating machine learning solutions.

• Clear communication skills and skilled ability to work with customers.

• Adaptability to evolving priorities and a proactive approach to solving impactful problems, especially in dynamic environments.
