Job summary

Asda is seeking a George Manager to lead the George department in-store in Brighton. You will drive stock availability, maintain high shop floor standards, and deliver theatre and seasonal events with strong execution.

You will manage a team, coach staff, and ensure safe, legal store operations while delivering excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment (preferable fashion or lifestyle brands).
• Strong customer service and store operation skills.
• A track record of driving availability, reducing waste and executing in-store activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the George department daily to deliver best availability and in-store standards.
• Coach and develop the team to improve routines and processes.
• Ensure promotions, seasonal events and theatre in-store are executed on brief and on time.

• Drive strategy into action: Planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor, delivering great availability standards, key metrics and KRAs through routine and processes.
• Lead with impact: Engaging and coaching your team to constantly improve routine and process whilst creating a culture of serving our customers with personality, heart and pride, and get one more item in every basket.
• Results-focused: Ensuring shopfloor, promotional activity and seasonal events activity is landed to brief and on time to drive the store selling agenda.
• Talent Development: Listen with empathy, driving resilience and encourage ownership, focus and passion for the business by bringing the “Asdaness” to work every day and supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment (preferable fashion or lifestyle brands).
• Operational knowledge on non-food departments (preferable fashion or lifestyle brands).
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
