Asda Stores Ltd is hiring a George Manager for the George department in Brighton. You will oversee day‑to‑day running, ensure high shop floor standards, and deliver excellent customer service through brilliant execution, seasonal events and theatre in store.

You will work with the General Manager to drive availability, shrink control, and a best-in-town non-food offer while maintaining store safety and compliance.

At Asda, we want you to find your everything as a George Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the day‑to‑day running of our George department in store by delivering the best availability and highest shop floor standards through brilliant execution, seasonal events and theatre in store whilst ensuring the store is safe and legal for our customer and colleagues. You’ll collaborate with the GM Manager creating a best in town Non-food offer.

What qualities you’ll need:

• Drive strategy into action: Planning and executing all trading activity on the shopfloor, delivering great availability standards, key metrics and KRAs through routine and processes.
• Lead with impact: Engaging and coaching your team to constantly improve routine and process whilst creating a culture of serving our customers with personality, heart and pride, and get one more item in every basket.
• Results-focused: Ensuring shopfloor, promotional activity and seasonal events activity is landed to brief and on time to drive the store selling agenda.
• Talent Development: Listen with empathy, driving resilience and encourage ownership, focus and passion for the business by bringing the “Asdaness” to work every day and supporting the development of the team and creating an environment where people feel valued, trusted, and motivated to step up.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience as Team Leader or Supervisor in a retail environment (preferable fashion or lifestyle brands).
• Operational knowledge on non-food departments (preferable fashion or lifestyle brands).
• Knowledge of improving availability, reducing waste, and managing shrink.
• Experience developing teams and managing change through leadership and building resilience.
• Strong organisational skills and great customer service.
