Job summary

KPI Recruiting Ltd in Leeds and Wakefield is seeking ambitious Geography graduates to join secondary schools as Teaching Assistants. You'll support GCSE and A-Level students and gain firsthand classroom experience.

The role is full-time, term-time only, starting September 2026, with a weekly salary of up to £560. You will deliver interventions, assist with lesson prep, and help learners with varying abilities while working alongside experienced teachers.

Qualifications

• 2:1 Geography degree or higher.
• Passion for education and working with young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Tutoring, mentoring or coaching experience.
• Interest in pursuing a career in teaching.
• Knowledge of current Geography curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions.
• Help pupils prepare for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
• Assist with lesson preparation and classroom activities.
• Encourage student engagement and academic progress.
• Support learners with varying abilities and additional needs.
• Work alongside teachers to raise attainment and confidence.
• Contribute to educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school life.
