Job summary

Class Act Teaching Services is seeking a Geography teacher for a well-established 11–16 secondary school. The role is a full-time long-term placement with an immediate start, supporting Ofsted-rated Good education and a strong commitment to student wellbeing.

The candidate will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and uphold high behavioural standards while collaborating with the Humanities team. Salary is experience-based with weekly PAYE.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent qualification.
• Experience teaching Geography in a secondary school.
• Strong behaviour management skills are essential.
• Ability to establish clear expectations and routines.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.

Responsibilities

• Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote geographical understanding.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Create a positive and productive classroom environment.
• Support students of varying abilities to achieve their potential.
