Job summary

OneSchool Global UK is seeking a dedicated Geography Teacher for the Ashbrook Campus in Coventry. You will deliver engaging Geography lessons, plan for diverse learners, and support students in developing self-directed learning habits.

The role requires QTS and a Geography degree, with experience teaching KS3–KS4 and a willingness to teach KS5 (desirable). You will contribute to a collaborative, high-quality teaching environment and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.
• Degree in Geography or closely related subject.
• Experience teaching Geography at Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Ability to teach Geography at Key Stage 5 (desirable).
• Strong subject knowledge and understanding of current curriculum requirements.
• Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
• Experience of using assessment data to support student progress.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high-quality Geography lessons that inspire and challenge students across KS3–5.
• Plan and deliver lessons meeting diverse learner needs, including SEND and high-ability students.
• Use effective teaching strategies to promote engagement, curiosity and academic progress.
• Utilise assessment information to inform planning, interventions and next steps.
• Support students in achieving their full academic potential across KS3–5.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Geography curriculum and examination specifications.

Key responsibilities

Teaching and learning

• Deliver engaging, high-quality Geography lessons that inspire and challenge students.
• Plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of all learners, including those requiring additional support and those who are highly able.
• Use effective teaching strategies that promote student engagement, curiosity, and academic success.
• Use assessment information to inform planning, interventions, and next steps in learning.
• Support students in achieving their full academic potential across Key Stages 3–5.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Geography curriculum, examination specifications, and educational best practice.

Student development and pastoral support

• Promote positive behaviour, high expectations, and a culture of mutual respect.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the school’s commitment to developing self-directed learners.
• Support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working collaboratively with colleagues and parents where required.
