Job summary

City of Peterborough Academy in England is seeking a Geography Subject Lead to shape an engaging and ambitious curriculum, drive high standards, and inspire students to achieve their very best. You will lead curriculum development and support colleagues to improve practice.

You will use assessment information to raise outcomes, contribute to wider academy leadership, and safeguard pupil wellbeing, ensuring an inclusive and high-expectation environment for all learners.

We are looking for a Subject Lead of Geography to join our team here at City of Peterborough Academy.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious Geography Subject Lead to join our team and take an active role in shaping an exciting, engaging and ambitious Geography curriculum.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an excellent classroom practitioner who is ready to lead, inspire and make a real difference. You’ll champion high-quality teaching and learning, support colleagues to develop their practice and use your subject expertise to ensure every pupil has the opportunity to achieve their very best.

• Demonstrate excellent Geography subject knowledge and classroom practice
• Have high expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour and engagement
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Geography curriculum
• Use assessment and progress information effectively to support positive pupil outcomes
• Support and develop colleagues, promoting high-quality teaching and learning
• Contribute positively to the wider leadership and development of the Academy
• Be committed to the safeguarding, wellbeing and personal development of all pupils
