Job summary

Bright Purple Resourcing is seeking a data quality professional to improve the quality of remotely sensed geospatial datasets and oversee governance across 2D/3D data at scale. You will implement workflow tools (e.g., Collibra) and collaborate with data owners in government, infrastructure and utilities sectors.

You will apply strong analytical skills, clear communication, and an organised approach to drive data quality initiatives and enable data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

  • Deep technical proficiency in improving the quality of remotely sensed 2D & 3D datasets (imagery, LiDAR) and geospatial data at scale.
  • Experience implementing workflow tools/frameworks to monitor data quality across the data production lifecycle (e.g. Collibra).
  • Domain experience and knowledge, particularly in Government, Infrastructure & Utilities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A well-organised, structured approach to work.
  • Strong prioritisation, time management and focus on delivering key objectives.
  • Experience sourcing and maintaining data assets.
  • Data management experience.
  • Aptitude for making technical work accessible to non-technical audiences.
  • Genuine passion for the geospatial industry.

Responsibilities

  • We manage data quality associated with geospatial data.
  • We define data quality objectives as part of the data governance strategy.
  • We drive practical, collaborative engagement with data owners so that data quality objectives are understood in terms of value and adopted into new ways of working.
  • We identify relevant data quality standards and objectively monitor progress against them, ensuring consistency and integrity across data and information assets.
  • We evaluate and implement tools to support data quality management across the lifecycle, including hands-on work with data cleansing and validation processes.
  • We share insights and improvement requirements so they can be prioritised as part of an agile development and release process.

Salary: £65,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:
