Job summary

Vertical Recruitment Limited in Nottingham is seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer with around three to four years of experience to take ownership of projects from desk studies through reporting, remediation and validation.

Geo-Environmental Engineer

£38,000 - £45,000

If you're a Geo-Environmental Engineer with around three to four years' experience and want more ownership of your projects, this is a chance to join a growing team in Nottingham.

You'll work across site investigation, land contamination and geotechnical design, taking projects from the initial desk study through to reporting, remediation and validation. The role offers the autonomy to manage your own work, with support from an established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing desk studies, site appraisals and land contamination assessments.
• Planning and managing site investigations, then interpreting the results.
• Producing remediation strategies, validation reports and technical assessments.
• Undertaking human health and controlled waters risk assessments.
• Contributing to foundation design and, where experienced, settlement and slope stability assessments.
• Managing project scope, programme and budget while working with colleagues across other engineering disciplines.

What you'll bring

You'll have a relevant engineering or science degree, around three to four years' experience, strong technical writing skills and a full UK driving licence. Experience with HoleBASE SI, Surfer and project planning tools would be useful. Familiarity with CAD, GIS, PDisp, GEO5 or similar software is welcome.
