Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is recruiting for a Geo-environmental Engineer in the Derby area. You will join a leading engineering consultancy's contaminated land team and work on projects across the East Midlands and the UK.

The role involves supervising site investigations, environmental monitoring, and delivering GQRA/DQRA, with opportunities for career progression and full training. A full UK driving licence, geology degree, and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising site investigations and environmental monitoring.
• Experience in GQRA/DQRA and remediation strategies.
• Ability to prepare factual and interpretive reports and validate/verify results.
• Familiarity with soil and rock logging and Phase 1 PRA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise site investigations and environmental monitoring on projects.
• Develop and implement remediation strategies for contaminated land.
• Prepare factual and interpretive reports and support verification activities.
• Conduct soil and rock logging and Phase 1 preliminary risk assessments.
• Coordinate site walkovers and liaise with project teams.

Job Title: Geo-environmental Engineer Location: Derby Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 We are working with a Global multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy to find the best geotechnical talent in the East Midlands to join their contaminated land team as a geo-environmental engineer.

As a geo-environmental engineer in this company, you will have the chance to work with some the best ground engineers in the industry, on exciting large projects across the Midlands and the rest of the UK.
