Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in England is seeking a Geo-Environmental Engineer to manage site investigations and conduct assessments. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of industry experience, a degree in an engineering or science discipline, and proficiency in technical report writing. The role involves interpreting data, performing risk assessments, and effective project management.   • IT proficiency, and technical report writing abilities.
  • Experience with Holebase SI, Surfer, MS Project preferred.
  • Experience using CAD or GIS with geotechnical software.
  • Effective project management to deliver within scope and budget

  • Undertake desk studies, land contamination assessments, and remediation strategies.
  • Interpret data and write reports to a professional standard.
  • Conduct human health risk assessments and controlled water risk assessments.

What you'll need:

  • At least 2 years' worth of industry experience
  • A degree level qualification in an appropriate engineering or science discipline
  • IT proficiency, and technical report writing abilities
  • Experience with Holebase SI, Surfer, MS Project - preferrable
  • Experience using CAD or GIS with geotechnical software such as PDisp / GEO5 or similar
  • Full UK Driving license

Duties:

In this role, you will be responsible for managing site investigations and conducting site appraisals, including reviewing third-party information. You will undertake desk studies, land contamination assessments, remediation strategies, and validation work as needed. Your duties will include interpreting data and writing reports to a professional standard, as well as undertaking human health risk assessments, controlled water risk assessments, and preferably detailed quantitative risk assessments. Additionally, you will be involved in foundation design, slope stability assessments, and settlement analysis. Effective project management is crucial, ensuring that projects are delivered within the required scope of work and budget.
