Job summary

Regional Recruitment Ltd is hiring an Assistant Geo-environmental Consultant / Engineering Geologist for their Northampton/Leicester team. The role offers a £29,000–£30,000 salary (DOE) and a permanent, full-time contract with hybrid working (3 days in the office after probation).

The position involves field and office work across environmental and geotechnical projects, with opportunities to gain hands-on experience from initial site walkovers to verification of remedial works and technical

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Science or Geology
• Minimum 1 year's relevant industry experience, although flexible for the right candidate
• Full UK driving licence
• Experience writing Phase I reports
• Understanding of contamination assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 through to Stage 3
• Experience of geo-environmental and geotechnical site work
• Experience of soil and rock logging in accordance with BS5930
• Good communication skills
• Competent with MS Office
• Strong critical thinking skills for interpretation and technical reporting

Responsibilities

• Support both field and office-based work across environmental and geotechnical projects
• Work on projects from initial site walkovers through to verification of remedial works
• Assist with site assessments and investigations
• Undertake geo-environmental and geotechnical site work
• Assist with soil and rock logging
• Help prepare Phase I reports and other technical documentation
• Contribute to contamination assessments
• Support the preparation of technical reports and project documentation
• Work closely with experienced colleagues across the multidisciplinary team
• Contribute to successful project outcomes
