Job summary

PRP, an experienced multidisciplinary team of structural, civil and geotechnical engineers, has a vacancy for an Assistant Geo-environmental Consultant/Engineering Geologist to join our expanding team in Pitsford, Northamptonshire.

You will support field and office work across environmental and geotechnical projects from initial walkover to remediation verification, contribute to site assessments, and help prepare reports.

Qualifications

• A degree in environmental science or geology.
• Minimum 1 years’ relevant industry experience (flexible for the right candidate).
• A full UK driving licence.
• Experience of writing Phase I reports.
• Understanding of contamination assessments from Stage 1 Tier 1 to Stage 3.
• Experience of geo-environmental and geotechnical site work.
• Experience of soil and rock logging under BS5930.
• Good communication skills and confidence with basic software (MS Office).
• Good critical thinking skills for interpretation and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Support both field and office work across environmental and geotechnical projects.
• Work on projects from initial walkover to verification of remedial works.
• Assist with site assessments and investigations.
• Help prepare reports and technical documents.
• Work with experienced colleagues and contribute to meaningful project outcomes.
