Job summary

Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Training Manager to support formal and informal training programmes within the West Midlands Genomic Laboratory Hub. You will coordinate education across multiple laboratories, managing trainee progression and CPD opportunities.

The role collaborates with scientific, technical, and clinical colleagues to deliver high-quality education, supporting workforce development and ensuring alignment with national standards

Qualifications

• Degree (first or second class with Honours or higher degree) preferably science related.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience delivering professional training in Genetics or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, develop and deliver education and training programmes across the WMRGL and the Central and South Genomic Laboratory Hub.
• Support trainee progression, training quality and compliance with national standards.
• Work with scientific, technical and clinical colleagues to ensure high-quality learning experiences for trainees and staff.
