Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking 2 Duty Genetic Technologists (team leads) to join the Genomics Specimen Reception and Send-out Team. The role focuses on sample receipt, processing and send-outs, with supervisory responsibilities in the reception area.

You will support the Lead and Deputy Lead, provide staff guidance, and ensure accurate data entry into the laboratory information system.

Qualifications

• Experience in sample receipt, processing and send-outs.
• Experience with electronic laboratory management systems is essential.
• Supervisory experience in a clinical or laboratory reception environment.

Responsabilités

• Deputy lead for the GLH reception area; manage staff, equipment and processes.
• Technical coordinator for the WGS send-out service.
• Support day-to-day sample management and related reception activities.
• Enter accurate, timely data into the laboratory information system.
• Support service improvement and staff development for GLH reception.
