Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is recruiting 2x permanent Band 7 HCPC registered Clinical Scientists in Genomics. These roles are 37.5 hours per week with potential hybrid on-site/remote working and enhanced weekend rota.

You will lead diagnostic genetics services and interact with consultants across the NEY region. Successful candidates will have HCPC registration and demonstrated genomics experience, with options for STP trainees or MSc/PhD holders to apply.

Qualifications

• HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist with evidenced Genomics experience (including Clinical Scientists from other STP disciplines)
• Final year Clinical Scientist trainee on an accredited training programme (e.g. STP or equivalence) with evidenced genomic experience
• MSc or PhD in Genetics, with significant laboratory and analytical experience in a relevant clinical setting
• HCPC-registered Biomedical Scientists (BMS) with genomics experience in a relevant clinical setting*

Responsabilités

• Delivery and scientific development of a high-quality diagnostic laboratory genetics service
• Scientific leadership in service provision for a specified clinical area
• Providing advice to consultants and other service users
• Making contributions to shape national best-practice
