Job summary

The University of Cambridge invites applications for a Bioinformatics/Data Resources post within the NIHR BioResource. You will lead a small sub team fulfilling data requests, providing genomic data and defining cohorts based on genomic profiles, with the aim of expanding studies and integrating new cloud-based tools.

You will work with Linux/Unix, HPC, data management, and scripting, contributing to translational research and collaboration across the BioResource and wider university data

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix, HPC and data management.
• Scripting in Python, R or Bash.
• Experience leading a data-focused team.
• Familiarity with Cohorts and Biobanks.

Responsibilities

• Manage a small sub team fulfilling data requests, providing genomic data and defining cohorts based on genomic profiles.
• Contribute to adoption of new tools and migration to cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Collaborate with Bioinformatics team on translational research and data sharing.
