Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Generator Support Engineer to join their team in Bristol, delivering technical support across the UK depots and customer sites. You will diagnose faults, commission equipment, perform repairs and upgrades, and support customers and engineers on-site.

The role requires mechanical/electrical engineering qualifications, field service experience, and a driving licence. Benefits include a variety of schemes and a company vehicle and phone provided.

Qualifications

• Relevant mechanical/electrical engineering qualification or apprenticeship.
• Experience servicing generator sets, FG Wilson or Cummins is essential.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Good LV distribution knowledge and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence; ECS card desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to depots and customers across the UK.
• Diagnose and resolve generator and electrical faults.
• Carry out commissioning, repairs and upgrades on rental equipment.
• Attend customer sites for commissioning and surveys.
• Support training and mentoring for engineers and customers.
• Assist major projects and technical investigations.
• Develop and improve the rental fleet.
• Work from depots when not on site.
