Job summary

Wernick Power Solutions, part of the Wernick Group, is seeking a Generator Service Engineer to service and install generator equipment from Aldridge, reporting to the Service Manager. The role covers inspections, testing, servicing, breakdowns, repairs, and commissioning, with a paid on-call rota to ensure clients have power as required.

You will uphold safety standards, drive quality, and actively develop skills while maintaining customer service excellence and depot/engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical or electrical expertise directly relevant to power generation equipment.
• Experience with routine maintenance, servicing, and testing.
• Hands-on generator engine experience essential.
• Candidates with a driving license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to SHEQ standards and maintain safety culture.
• Optimise productivity across workload and ensure timely service delivery.
• Conduct breakdown addressing, repairs, and installation/commissioning tasks.
• Maintain depot and fleet servicing targets (e.g., overdue servicing).
• Keep company vehicle well-equipped and maintained.
