Job summary

TLP in Carnforth is seeking a Generator Engineer with diesel generator experience to join our team. This role focuses on keeping generators and related equipment running safely and reliably across sites in the region.

You will diagnose, repair, service diesel-driven equipment, manage servicing with our digital records, and travel to customer sites (overnight stays occasionally). The position offers a company van, OT, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience with generators and related equipment.
• Generator qualification or time-served engineering background.
• City & Guilds / CITB / NVQ qualifications (18th Edition preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support sites depot by reducing equipment backlogs.
• Carry out larger repairs and refurbishments.
• Keep servicing up to date at depot and on customer sites.
• Travel to different sites; travel time paid.
• Record services and regeneration tasks on our digital system.
• Provide friendly customer support face-to-face and over the phone.
