Job summary

Wayve, a leading autonomous driving AI company, seeks a Machine Learning Engineer for its Generative Simulation team in London. You will develop next-generation world models, such as GAIA, to enable real-time roll-outs, interactive planning, and efficient sim-to-real evaluation across diverse driving scenarios.

You will work at the intersection of ML research and real-world deployment, focusing on scalable, performant models and contributing to the broader autonomy platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of ML research/engineering with a focus on generative video, world models.
• Deep knowledge in diffusion & latent-video models; track record of improving sampling efficiency or model throughput.
• Experience with high-dimensional temporal data (video, multi-sensor fusion).
• Strong Python and PyTorch fundamentals, building research-grade production tools.
• Strong publication record or open-source ML contributions.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction and design key components of the simulation system.
• Implement and debug new modeling capabilities with deep work blocks.
• Collaborate across teams; pair programming and brainstorming.
• Review teammates' experiments and provide constructive feedback.
• Share findings with the team and align on weekly priorities.
