About the role:

We are seeking a Generative AI Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to developing a cutting-edge AI-powered financial adviser. In this experimental role, you'll lead ideation, prompt engineering, and rapid experimentation to build an engaging, personalised, and insightful conversational financial experience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop, experiment with, and optimise advanced prompt engineering techniques for intuitive, accurate, and personalised financial conversations.
2. Collaborate with product teams, data scientists, financial experts, and UX designers to ideate, prototype, and implement generative AI solutions.
3. Stay updated on emerging generative AI trends, technologies, and methodologies to keep our financial adviser innovative and competitive.
4. Prototype and iterate experimental AI features using agile practices, testing hypotheses and incorporating user feedback.
5. Utilise proprietary financial data sets and open banking integrations to enhance personalisation, relevance, and accuracy.
6. Ensure AI implementations comply with regulatory standards (e.g., FCA, GDPR) and uphold data privacy best practices.
7. Partner with backend and DevOps teams to scale infrastructure supporting advanced generative models.
8. Document insights, challenges, and solutions, translating complex ideas into actionable strategies across teams.

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Proven hands-on experience with generative AI and prompt engineering, especially with large language models (e.g., GPT, Anthropic Claude).
2. Strong programming skills, notably in Python, and familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face.
3. Ability to ideate, prototype, and iterate AI-powered applications or conversational experiences rapidly.
4. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, comfortable in experimental, dynamic environments.
5. Growth mindset: eagerness to learn and stay updated with latest trends and technologies.
6. Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
