About the role:
We are seeking a Generative AI Engineer to join our innovative team dedicated to developing a cutting-edge AI-powered financial adviser. In this experimental role, you'll lead ideation, prompt engineering, and rapid experimentation to build an engaging, personalised, and insightful conversational financial experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, experiment with, and optimise advanced prompt engineering techniques for intuitive, accurate, and personalised financial conversations.
- Collaborate with product teams, data scientists, financial experts, and UX designers to ideate, prototype, and implement generative AI solutions.
- Stay updated on emerging generative AI trends, technologies, and methodologies to keep our financial adviser innovative and competitive.
- Prototype and iterate experimental AI features using agile practices, testing hypotheses and incorporating user feedback.
- Utilise proprietary financial data sets and open banking integrations to enhance personalisation, relevance, and accuracy.
- Ensure AI implementations comply with regulatory standards (e.g., FCA, GDPR) and uphold data privacy best practices.
- Partner with backend and DevOps teams to scale infrastructure supporting advanced generative models.
- Document insights, challenges, and solutions, translating complex ideas into actionable strategies across teams.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience with generative AI and prompt engineering, especially with large language models (e.g., GPT, Anthropic Claude).
- Strong programming skills, notably in Python, and familiarity with AI frameworks such as LangChain, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face.
- Ability to ideate, prototype, and iterate AI-powered applications or conversational experiences rapidly.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, comfortable in experimental, dynamic environments.

- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
