Generalist Advice Supervisor and Debt Lead

About the role

This exciting new role is ideal for a candidate eager to make an immediate impact and who enjoys leading and collaborating with others. Responsibilities include:

  1. Providing on-the-day supervision to paid and voluntary staff across various workstreams.
  2. Conducting case reviews of debt issues in collaboration with our Quality of Advice and Case Review team to ensure high standards of advice.
  3. Leading in building partnerships with council officers and debt charities to support debt advice services and create client pathways.
  4. Supporting the leadership team in shaping our debt advice services, identifying key areas, client outcomes, and resolution steps.
  5. Designing and delivering training on debt issues to staff and community stakeholders.
  6. Supervising volunteers handling complex casework where your expertise is required.
  7. Ensuring compliance with Financial Conduct Authority regulations.
  8. Leading research and campaigns related to debt, advocating for change based on case studies and local needs.
