Job summary

EMR is hiring a General Yard Operative to support on-site operations and maintain efficient materials handling. You will develop key skills with training provided to operate our plant and progress within the business.

You will be part of a team focused on delivering high-quality customer service while working outdoors in an industrial environment. EMR values belonging, support and growth for all colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, processing and transporting materials on site.
• Conducting regular checks on machinery and work areas.
• Assisting customers and clients on site while delivering excellent customer service.
• Supporting depot management with day-to-day requirements.

What You Will Be Doing:

This role has a variety of responsibilities to keep you busy throughout the day.

Whether you’re loading, unloading, processing and transporting various materials on site. Conducting regular checks on machinery and work areas. To assisting customers and clients on site whilst offering excellent customer service.

Whilst supporting depot management with day-to-day requirements.

About You:

If you’ve got a ‘can do’ attitude, you’re a good team player, you enjoy being ‘hands‑on’, you have good customer service skills, and you enjoy working outdoors in all conditions in an industrial environment. Then this role will be right up your street!
