Cliffe VC Primary School in Selby, North Yorkshire, is seeking a General Teaching Assistant in Early Years with Midday Supervisory Assistant duties on a Tuesday, on a fixed-term contract until 28 May 2027. The role involves supporting pupils, assisting the class teacher, and maintaining a safe, inclusive learning environment.

The successful candidate should bepatient, flexible, enthusiastic, able to work well in a team, and willing to undertake relief breakfast/after school duties as required.

General Teaching Assistant in Early Years to include Midday Supervisory Assistant duties on a Tuesday only Cliffe VC Primary School

Cliffe VC Primary School is looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and reliable General Teaching Assistant to join our friendly school team in Early Years on a fixed term contract until 28th May 2027, to include midday supervisor on a Tuesday and the potential to undertake relief breakfast and after school club work to cover staff absence and other occasional requirements.

The role will involve supporting pupils with their learning, assisting the class teacher with classroom activities, and helping to provide a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.

Hours of work:

Tuesday: 12:20pm – 3:20pm, including one hour of Midday Supervisory Assistant (MSA) duties from 12:20pm – 1:20pm.

T he successful candidate will be patient, flexible and enthusiastic, with a genuine interest in supporting children’s learning and wellbeing. They should be able to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with pupils and staff. Previous experience of working with children would be an advantage, but a positive attitude and a willingness to learn are equally important.
