Fairburn Community Primary School in Knottingley, North Yorkshire, invites applications for a Teaching Assistant to join our EYFS/Year 1 team from January 2027. This permanent role is term time only with training days, working 6.75 hours per week on Fridays (08:30–15:45).

You will support the class teacher, with opportunities to contribute across the school and engage in professional development as part of our dedicated staff. DBS checks apply.

Contract: Permanent (Term Time Only + Training Days)

Location: Knottingley, North Yorkshire- Fairburn Community Primary School

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated professional to join our friendly team in January 2027.

The role is to work primarily in our EYFS/ Year 1 class supporting the class teacher but as we are a small school of 3 classes, you may be expected to work across the whole school on occasions.

We are looking for an individual who has proven experience of excellent practice as a Teaching Assistant, is keen to further their own professional development and fully join in with the wider life of the school.

You need to be reliable, show initiative and be prepared to wear lots of different hats!

In return, you will be fully supported in your role and enjoy working in our nurturing and happy school environment. The staff team are highly skilled, dedicated professionals who care a lot about our children and our school. However, we are looking forward to welcoming a new member and adding to the skill set of our team so that we can continue to support our children.
