Job summary

GSL Education South Yorkshire are seeking a reliable General Supply Teacher to support schools in the Wakefield (WF1) area. The role offers flexible daily supply across local schools, with planning provided by the schools and the chance to experience different year groups.

You will need QTS or equivalent, an enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply) and strong classroom management. Daily rates range from £150 to £200 depending on experience.

As a General Supply Teacher, you will step into classes where required, delivering work that has already been prepared and ensuring pupils remain focused and engaged.

Requirements for the General Supply Teacher role:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
• Previous classroom experience is desirable.
• Confidence working independently across different school settings.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• A flexible, dependable, and professional approach.
• An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
