Job summary

Aramark is recruiting a General Service Assistant for our busy Strensall, York site. The role covers pot washing, cleaning kitchen areas, and maintaining floors and dining spaces to a high standard. You will support the wider catering team and follow health and safety procedures.

Working 30 hours per week over 5 days in 7, with some weekend work, you’ll join a global hospitality group offering training, career progression, on-site parking, gym access, and staff benefits. DBS/BPSS checks apply.

Responsibilities

• Pot washing and maintaining high standards of cleanliness within the kitchen.
• Cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and food preparation areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, and maintaining floors throughout the catering operation.
• Cleaning dining areas and ensuring they remain presentable at all times.
• Assisting with general housekeeping duties across the site.
• Supporting the wider catering team with operational tasks as required.
• Following health & safety, food safety, and company procedures at all times.
• Helping to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues.

We are currently recruiting for a General Service Assistant to join our team in Strensall, York, YO32 5SW. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hardworking and reliable individual to become part of a busy catering operation, supporting the team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and service across the site.

Additional Information

• Successful candidates will be required to complete a DBS check.
• BPSS security clearance will be required prior to commencing employment.
