Job summary

Linda McCartney Centre in Liverpool seeks a General Practitioner for a five-month post in its Primary Care Streaming Service within the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. The role focuses on urgent, undiagnosed conditions in urgent care with prescribing and same-day referrals. GMC registration and Enhanced DBS are required.

The GP will work with a multidisciplinary team, keeping clear electronic records and supporting swift patient assessment in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Up to date Enhanced DBS certificate.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic clinical care in line with GMC Good Medical Practice (2024)
• Make independent, professional decisions on individual patients' problems
• Assess and address urgent needs of patients with undiagnosed or undefined conditions
• Prescribe in line with national guidance and the local formulary
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to refer or admit patients needing same-day hospital care, preferring medical or surgical teams to ED
• Keep accurate, contemporaneous electronic records on the PC24 clinical system
• Carry out other duties agreed with the Medical Director, Clinical Lead or Head of Service
