Job summary

Probus Surgery is recruiting salaried GPs on a permanent part-time basis to deliver high-quality clinical care, including consultations, triage, and medication management. The role involves safeguarding, home visits, and contribution to governance, with on-site team support and no weekend work.

Current GMC registration and MRCGP or equivalent experience are required, along with regular clinical work and NHS performers list entry. On-call duties are covered by a dedicated team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical care to registered patients and those attending the surgery.

• Provide safeguarding, medicals, reports, home visits and attend surgery meetings.
• Cover on-call duties, excluding out of hours.
• Take part in clinical governance and audit, and contribute to QOF and CQC standards.
• Work with the Senior Manager and site clinical lead on the surgery action plan, including list growth and patient satisfaction.

Job description

Probus Surgery, a primary care practice serving about 9,500 patients, is recruiting salaried GPs on a permanent part-time basis. The work covers consultations, telephone triage, results, medication reviews, home visits and safeguarding, alongside clinical governance and QOF work. Work is up to eight sessions on day shifts with no weekends, supported by an on-call team of advanced clinical practitioners and advanced nurse practitioners who take on much of the administration. Current GMC registration and MRCGP or equivalent experience decide fit.

What the job involves

• Deliver high-quality clinical care to registered patients and those attending the surgery, working with clinical leads and the practice team on the surgery's operational plan
• Carry out consultations, telephone triage, correspondence, results, medication reviews and prescription signing, and other clinical administration
• Provide safeguarding, medicals, reports, home visits and attend surgery meetings
• Cover on-call duties, excluding out of hours
• Take part in clinical governance and audit, and contribute to QOF and CQC standards
• Work with the Senior Manager and site clinical lead on the surgery action plan, including list growth, patient satisfaction, enhanced services, KPI targets, resource profile and cost management
• Work to GMC standards, putting individual patient care first
