Job summary

Lyndhurst Surgery is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our nursing team in the New Forest area. You will work with the Lead Nurse, Practice Nurse and Phlebotomist to provide patient-centred care and support routine health checks.

Responsibilities include clinical observations, venepuncture, ECGs, urinalysis, and health promotion, with training to extend your clinical skills and competency within the practice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Healthcare Assistant qualifications and competency are required.
• Mandatory clinical training and ongoing CPD are expected.
• Experience with ECG and primary care investigations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical observations: BP, pulse, temp, RR, height, weight, BMI.
• Carry out venepuncture and collect blood samples per protocol.
• Perform routine ECGs and related investigations within competence.
• Undertake urinalysis and point-of-care testing as needed.
• Support NHS Health Checks and routine reviews.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EPR system.
